The Tama Starclassic Walnut/Birch 5-piece Shell Pack with 22" Bass Drum in Satin Sapphire Fade is part of the 2019 DRUM KITS release in the Starclassic Walnut/Birch Series. Exploring limitless possibilities, our result in the wake of countless experimentation came in the form of the Hybrid Shell Walnut/Birch: combining the superior quality warmth and mid to low frequency tone of the increasingly popular and truly unique Walnut, with the well-defined and uncompromisingly solid attack of Birch.
Whilst we successfully preserved their unique sonic trademarks, the characteristics of both Walnut and Birch blend to persuade a very focused sound that would define itself with great distinction within a musical ensemble; married with controlled sustain and clarity; all sealed with an undeniably palpable feeling of warmth and resonance when performed. This product comes in a 5 piece shell kit in a 16"x22"Bass Drum, 7"x10" Tom Tom, 8"x12"Tom Tom, 12"x14"Floor Tom, 14"x16"Floor Tom & MC69 Single Tom Attachment (x2) configuration. This kit does not include Hardware which needs to be purchased separately. Designed with Walnut/Birch Hybrid Shells, Tom Tom and Floor Tom/SD: 6mm, 4ply Birch + 2 inner ply Black Walnut / Bass Drum:8mm, 5ply Birch + 2 inner ply Black Walnut with Inside Lacquer, a Star-Cast Mounting System, and Die-Cast Hoops with Quick-Lock Tom Brackets. The Kit incorporates Starclassic Lugs and comes with Evans® Drum Heads.
